[Satina Wants a Bedtime Story (SATINA SHORT #1)]

my basic reduction from this short film is that you have a villain. a nasty villain who enters a sacred place, and violates and murders what was justice, knowledge and wisdom. This monster has no respect or reverence for anything good and kills everything it encounters. Once it has made it's way into the sacred place it does what it has become, and violates and destroys what was once a truly beautiful sacred place. Of course though, these mindless villains do not have a soul, they expect that their villainy will never go unaccounted for but this isn't the case and our hero the spider saves the day.

Except the issue with the spider is that it is a predator. That's the beauty of predatory animals is that they balance the order, they destroy pests and generally leave humans unmolested. This spider, from the corpse of this poor slain woman, lays what would seem to be eggs and more spiders rise. That is a general concept about predator - prey. The more prey there is, the more predators it can sustain.

wow this movie really makes you think.......

I am trying to interpret this... 'mandoll' having an encounter with the young adolescent female. she experiences some sort of magical otherworldly experience and it would seem the mandoll was narrowed into a chain as a result. except the sweet little child was able to project a magical aura to save him from what would be certain destruction.

i have to really take my thoughts here as to why the doll went missing and why she sought after it, and what caused her disorientated state as well. what was the intent in this ordeal? that is a really subjective ruling. a very interesting read here for sure.

I see what you did here. I didn't give it a five because... I dunno, maybe there is some animation aspects that could be streamlined into something more emotionally direct. BUT, I see what you did here.

I respect your direction though for sure. Artistic introversion of drug culture exposing the subculture some humans subject themselves too out of depravity and loneliness and any number of things. Essentially a seedy misdirection of a person which in many respects isn't entirely negative but may lead to worse things.

You don't see that as much in this day and if you do they're usually naturally degenerative.

I think this was just absolutely beautiful. It was sweet, smart and endearing. It really touched home the intelligence behind this little short animation. What really did it for me was the styling similar to the great Luis. :P
